Veternity enters into exclusive discussions with La Compagnie des Animaux to sell its subsidiary Digivet

2 December 2021

La Compagnie des Animaux Group, European leader in veterinary care financing and innovative services for pet owners, has positioned itself to acquire Digivet, the digital subsidiary of Veternity Group. As an international company, Veternity is focusing on its core business in order to pursue its ambition to become the world leader in pet funeral services. The acquisition of Digivet by La Compagnie des Animaux would complete and strengthen the Group’s expertise in the digital transformation of veterinary structures.

Founded more than 25 years ago by 200 veterinarians in the North of France, Veternity Group was created around an ethical and innovative project: to offer an alternative to rendering services by providing a dignified end-of-life solution for pets. Today, Veternity wishes to accelerate its international development and focus its business expertise on animal funeral services in Europe and throughout the world, in particular through new crematorium acquisitions in North America.

The prospect of Digivet joining La Compagnie des Animaux reflects a strong desire to support the veterinary profession in its digital transformation challenges: management software, innovative communication and payment solutions and online appointment booking.

” Veternity Group is expanding internationally and growing rapidly. With operations in 8 countries, we are pursuing our ambition to become the world leader in pet funeral services, a market estimated at over 2.5 billion dollars. This sale is part of our strategy to refocus on our core business in order to develop our expertise in serving pet owners and to maintain our role as a pioneer in pet care worldwide. I am looking forward to this project with La Compagnie des Animaux, a trusted partner, which I am sure will bring opportunities for Digivet’s employees.” Philippe Thomas, CEO of Veternity.

Jérôme Salord, Président of Compagnie des Animaux  “I am delighted at the prospect of Digivet joining our group so that we can support its growth and expansion at  the service of the veterinary profession.
